The story
Jonas and David discussed how to design his first NHL mask, and one idea that both liked was to make a funny connection to his nickname...So David airbrushed a maple leaf, in shape of a monster...! The monster jumps out on the mask, looking really nasty. He drewls, leaves are flying around in the wind, and scary crack effects around him mark the nasty theme...
As a cool contrast to the wild design on one side, David created an old school design with clear and distinct lines with Toronto's logo in focus on the other side. All spiced up with cool 3D effects. The number on a flying pennant on the chin gives a personal touch to the whole.
As always a tremendous detail work, and cool DAVEART Holographix FX with small maple leafs glitters in metallic in the background. The colors are carefully chosen and planned to get a design as distinct as possible.
