The story
Henrik Lundqvist's mask for the Vancouver Olympic Games is a direct continuation on his success mask from the games in Turin 2006. Lundqvist was really happy with it. As you see the mask design has a strong connection to his Rangers mask created by David. Same design style and spirit.
The design is classically painted with strong contrasts. The Statue Of Liberty has been painted in Swedish colors on one side of the mask, and the Team Sweden Three Crowns logo on the other. A deeply strong blue base with cool metallic highlights all details. And all over the surface you see electric flashes of lightning, a signum for Lundqvist and his masks since the days in Frölunda.
Everything is painted with an extreme detail work to achieve cool 3-D effects, and the popular DAVEART Holographix FX gives a unique background pattern with the Statue Of Liberty in metallic.
