Golden Shine Of Skellefteå - Andreas Hadelöv, Skellefteå AIK, Elitserien, 2008-2009
The story
This is a classically created design with strong contrasts and lots of gold, just like the club wants their mask designs. Perhaps not so strange when they have the sponsor Boliden on the masks.
On each side of the mask the cool sun shows it face, you know it from Skellefteå's beautiful club logo, right? The sun is painted in cool 3D style with painted yellow chrome effects. The placement of the sun on each side gives balance to the whole, and cool contrasts that give a perfect profile to the mask when you check it out from a long distance, always important.
Around the chin part the mask is framed by yellow and red lines, and the golden bottom colour on the rest of the mask changes to black. Simsalabim, and the chin has the same graphic look like the team uniform, 100% Skellefteå!
But the focus in this design lies on the front and the forehead where AIK is written in cool curvy style. Lots of painted yellow chrome effects and cool lines and shadows give the design depth.
As all David Gunnarsson's paintings this design is amazingly rich of details.
The result is a design solution that is perfectly seen from far, and delivers big time when all the details are checked out from close.
