Karlstad OctoAction - Jonas Gustavsson, Färjestads BK, Elitserien, 2008-2009
The story
Jonas had a clear idea of how he wanted an octopus on his new mask, since that is what he is called! And an octopus with all its tentacles is perfect on a goalie mask, right?
The colur of the octopus was obvious, green, just like the FBK club logo. So this octopus is a goalie, check out the tentacles and how he holds his own old school custom made goalie mask. He also holds the club logo and the sponsor logo, a fun way to integrate advertising in the design.
Further on Jonas wanted silver in the bottom, which is perfect against the green octopus that really pops out with the extremely strong contrasts. And to make the contrasts even stronger David added a white outline around the octopus.
In the silver David also painted cool air bubbles for water and depth effects.
Jonas' number was placed big up in the front in gold, in natural focus.
