True Timrå - Johan Backlund, Timrå IK, Elitserien, 2008-2009
The story
Johan wanted a classically created design, with graphical eagles on each side. The entire design goes in white and red, natural and strong contrasts and 100% Timrå. While the upper part of the mask mostly goes in white the lower part goes in red. This gives a nice balance. All tints are painted in glistening metallic that glitters nicely.
The lower part is framed by white lines from the team jersey, so that the design gets a direct conection to the team uniform, always important. And check out the red, between the layers of metallic David has painted glittering eagle pattern. Lots of details, as always when David is painting.
Also check out the composite pattern beneath the red in the eagles, details that give a fantastic depth to the whole.
The red splatted pattern on the top of the mask Johan wanted as a continuation from his last mask. An effect that gives perfect contrasts.
The cage was painted in white, which perfectly brings out the red in the design. A nice example of how you make the cage a part of the design.
