Indiana Moose - Raiders Of The Lost Puck - Johan Hedberg, Atlanta Thrashers, NHL, 2008-2009
The story
It's always much fun and one of the highlights of the year for David to paint a new Moose mask for Johan ”The Moose” Hedberg. Johan's first Moose mask was painted by David in 2001 when Johan made success in the NHL playoffs, and so did the mask... Johan became Moose and since then a Moose has been a given motif on Johan's masks.
The previous Moose mask with movie theme was a super hit and became unbelieavably popular among the fans.
When David earlier this year was out swimming he suddenly got a new idea for the new Moose mask. David told Johan about the idea, and he loved it!
Let us present the absolute action hero, Indiana Moose! The entire mask is painted with Harrison Ford's alter ego theme. And the entire design is taken from the so cool intro scene in the first Indy film, you know when he takes a gold statue and is chased by a ball!
On one side is a concentrated Indiana Moose, among spider webs and scary statues, ready to take the golden puck...and what happens, he gets chased by a big big stone ball...run! On the other side Moose runs like a maniac, with the golden puck under the arm, and poisoness arrows whining around him...!
The design i spainted with maximum action and a tremendous detail work, as always in David's paintings. Details that make the whole.
On the chin the name, of course in Indy style. With lots of cruel skulls around...
The mask is graphically balanced with Atlanta's alternative logo on the sides. The entire design is painted with lots of metallic glitter and strong contrasts.
All this together create yet another classic Moose design!
