Predators Docs at Vanderbilt - Dan Ellis, Nashville Predators, NHL, 2008-2009
The story
Dan had a clear vision of how he wanted his new mask design. He really likes the cool Predators figures that David created for him on the two latest masks, so he wanted them again, but now as doctors! Yepp, this mask is a celebration to the local children's hospital Vanderbilt, to where the mask will be given later on!
So on one side the two predators, one big to describe how Dan feels before a game, and the other one skinny to describe how Dan feels after the game...
Both are doctors, holding kid predators! One climbs on the doctor while the other one plays hockey! Full action! Here David has worked a lot with depth and 3D effects.
In the blue upper base David has created a blue graphic, inspired by the hospital's indoor environment and it's special characteristics. Details, details and details, as always in David's paintings.
On the chin David has created a classic design with the Predator logo, painted with cool 3D effects and patterns. The number is painted inside the logo of the hospital.
