Apocalypse Gargoyles - Marty Turco, Dallas Stars, NHL, 2008-2009
The story
Marty Turco's personal painter David Gunnarsson's Gargoyle designs for Turco have been successful ever since the first one made its entrance three years ago. Marty had seen and heard about David's art and decided he was the one to paint his designs.
Marty really liked the latest version, so this is a direct continuation. The gargoyles stand in attention on each side, guarding the goal, here no pucks are welcome! The gargoyles have new awesome armaments, for example nailed planks! But they also seem to take care of themselves, since they have put on plasters...pink plasters...
Check out the weapons...oh man, watch out...
The white background colour works perfect with the whole and makes the gargoyles stand out from the background.
The silver chromed stone wall with the Dallas star integrated in XXFX glitter is the final touch that makes this design one of today's most spectacular mask designs.
And carefully check out the wall, you can see the names of Marty's three children.
But not enough with this, around the top of the head barbed wire is winded, to mark the horrible feeling in the design! Details, details, details...as always in David's paintings.
