🎨 DaveArt NHL Mask Parade: Elvis Merzļikins Edition 🎨
A few of the masks I’ve had the pleasure of creating for Elvis Merzļikins through the years.
From comic-book heroes and video game characters to cartoons, movie-inspired artwork, and larger-than-life mascots, these masks were all about having fun with creativity and pushing every new idea in a different direction. 🎨🚀
Looking at them side by side is a reminder of something I’ve always loved about this profession: no two masks need to look alike. One can be playful, the next dramatic, the next completely unexpected. After 30 years, that never-ending creativity is still what inspires me every day. ✨🦎
A fun mix of styles, stories, and adventures—exactly the kind of paint rides I enjoy the most.
Thanks for all the great creative journeys, Elvis! 🥅🎨

🎨 DaveArt NHL Mask Parade: Frederik Andersen Edition 🎨
A few of the masks I’ve had the pleasure of creating for Stanley Cup Champion Frederik Andersen through the years. 🏆🥅
From LEGO-inspired Vikings and superheroes to giant monsters a.k.a Fredzilla, glowing effects, and even glow-in-the-dark artwork, these masks have been a fun reminder that creativity really has no limits. ⚡️🦖🦇✨
One thing I’ve always enjoyed with Frederik’s masks is the freedom to explore new ideas. Every mask became a new adventure, a new story, and another chapter in what feels like a journey of never-ending creativity. 🎨🚀
Looking back at them now brings back a lot of great memories—and a lot of paint. 😄
Thanks for all the fantastic paint rides, Frederik. Looking forward to the next adventure! 🎨🥅⚡️

🎨 DaveArt NHL Mask Parade: Scott Darling Edition 🎨
A few of the masks I’ve had the pleasure of creating for Scott Darling through the years.
Looking at these masks side by side, I’m reminded of how much creativity goalie masks allow. One design celebrates hockey history, another family memories, another music, pop culture, or personal heroes. Every mask tells a different story. 🎨🏒✨
What I always enjoyed about working on Scott’s masks was the variety. One year the artwork could be clean and classic, the next packed with detailed portraits and hidden tributes. It was always about finding new ways to tell his story.
For me, that’s one of the most enjoyable parts of this profession—exploring different styles, different ideas, and different chapters of hockey life, one mask at a time. 😊🥅
Thanks for all the great paint rides, Scott! 🎨🚀

🎨 DaveArt NHL Mask Parade: Jake Oettinger Edition 🎨
A few of the masks I’ve created for Jake Oettinger through the years.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jake throughout his entire NHL career, and one thing has remained constant—the Otter is always ready for a new adventure. 🦦🎨
From Otter Liberty standing proud in New York to Ottzilla, the giant green super-powered Otter, plus eagles, stars, and countless other creative themes, every mask has taken the Otter character in a new direction. ⚡️🗽🦅💚
That’s what makes these projects so much fun. There’s always a new story, a new theme, and a new adventure waiting around the corner.
Can’t wait to paint the next Otter mask and continue the adventure! 🦦🚀🥅🎨

🎨 DaveArt NHL Mask Parade: Petr Mrázek Edition 🎨
A few of the masks I’ve had the pleasure of creating for Petr Mrázek through the years.
Looking at these masks side by side is a fun reminder of how many different directions goalie mask art can take. From hockey legends and personal tributes to cartoons, fantasy characters, humor, and classic storytelling, every mask has its own personality. 🎨🏒✨
One thing I’ve always enjoyed is exploring new ideas and styles. One mask might be serious and detailed, the next playful and colorful. Like a paint chameleon, I simply try to adapt to whatever story the goalie wants to tell. 🦎🎨
After 30 years, I’m still grateful that this job allows me to explore what feels like unlimited creativity through an endless variety of styles.
Thanks for all the great paint rides, Petr! 🚀🥅😄
